How do I stick with it? — Day 3

I remember the many times I push myself on an uphill ride on my bike with my legs burning or the times I know my foot is falling asleep during a meditation sit, but breathe and tell myself “I’ll be fine, almost there”. With that self-motivation, I am able to push harder than I did before.

Wim-Hof talks about this on day 3. It’s all about being able to use your mind and set your mind to it. Whatever “it” is. We all have heard this before. In today’s breathing session there was a deep grounding feeling about coming to an inner peace during the 1.5 mins breath retention phase.

Though today, I didn't make it up to the 1.5minute mark of the retention phase. I caved in at about the 1min and 15sec mark. I can say there was quite a bit going on in my head today right before I got into the breathwork or I should have waited for a “better time” to start, but I went for it and glad I did. The transactional outcome in this case seemed inconsequential.
